Visitor Policies

To maintain a beautiful and tranquil environment for all, please note:

  • The Garden is a smoke-free environment. Cell phone and electronic game use is discouraged.
  • Please, no food or drink in the Garden, except water. There is no restaurant or cafe on site.
  • Please leave pets at home. Trained assistance animals for visitors with disabilities are welcome.
  • Accessibility: Disabled permit parking is available. Throughout summer, a free shuttle bus assists visitors from the parking lot to the admission gate. We are unable to provide wheelchairs.
  • Personal, non-professional photography is allowed. Portrait photography is not allowed. Other commercial photography requires a fee.
  • Garden facilities are not available for weddings, wedding receptions or commitment ceremonies.

Admission

Your admission gains access to the Garden, the Gift Store, and when offered, public tours and exhibits. (Some special events are not included with admission. For more information, please see the events page.)

  • $8.00 Adults
  • $6.75 Seniors (age 62 & over)
  • $6.75 College Students (with college ID)
  • $5.25 Youths (age 6-17)
  • Children under age six are free

Visitor Hours

The Garden is open to visitors seven days a week year-round, closing only on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Summer Season: April 1 – September 30

  • 10am-7pm Tuesday–Sunday
  • Noon-7pm Monday

Winter Season: October 1 – March 31

  • 10am-4pm Tuesday–Sunday
  • Noon-4pm Monday

In July:

  • The Garden is open until 7pm
  • Shuttle from parking lot to gate runs every day
  • Guided tours three times daily (see below)

Tours

Guided Public Tours

April through October, daily guided tours of the Garden are offered at 10:45am, 1pm, and 2:30pm. November through March, weekend tours are offered at 1pm. Please note, the Garden is not open for a 10:45am tour on Mondays, excepting certain holidays.

Public tours are generally 45 minutes to one hour, outdoors, and on foot. Visitors may join or leave the public tour at any time—no reservations necessary.
